Review: Blush Noje W3 Mini Wand

The Blush Noje W3 Mini Wand advertises deep rumbly vibrations. For the most part, they’re right, but that comes with some major caveats.

Basic Stats

The Blush Noje W3 is tiny. I knew it would be small, but this is itty bitty. It’s a wand in shape only – a handle, a flexible neck coated in silicone, and a silicone rounded head. It measures 5.25″ in total length. The head measures 1.25″ long and 1.25″ wide. The ABS plastic handle is curved, as opposed to the Noje W1, which is straight. I’m going to guess there isn’t much difference between the two besides the handle shape.

The Noje series is operated by a single button on the base. Press and hold for 3 seconds to turn on or off. I’ve never liked having to wait to stop a toy, but since it’s an external toy I can just remove it from my clitoris before it gets over sensitized. There are 5 steady vibration intensities and 5 patterns at the highest intensity.

The USB charging cable is magnetic and proprietary, so if it gets lost, you’re out of luck. However, magnetic charging means it is waterproof.

It retails for about $35 bucks and comes in rose (pink), wisteria (purple), and sage (green).

Mary’s Experience

Let’s start with vibrations. This is a mini vibe under $40, so I was not expecting much. The packaging advertises deep, rumbly vibrations. I rolled my eyes. However, I was pleasantly surprised that the lower-end vibrations are rumbly. The first 3 speeds aren’t thuddy or penetrating, but they’re deep. Speeds 4 and 5 get buzzier, but there’s enough rumble. The sensation of the head is more broad than pinpoint, and I like pinpoint. I expected to be disappointed.

The disappointment didn’t hit until I tried to have an orgasm. While the vibrations are more rumbly than buzzy, they’re gentle. This is not a toy for power lovers like me. It took what felt like an eternity to come every single time. Eventually, I could have an orgasm, but not a satisfying one. Orgasms with the Noje W3 are like tiny, expensive drinks at swanky bars that change names every 2 months. You’re left thinking, “Wait, that’s it? That’s all I get?”

Once, I tried to go for a second orgasm with my Doxy Die Cast and then Magic Wand immediately afterwards and my refractory period (yes, I have one) got so frustratingly in the way, by the time I got the orgasm I wanted, I had pain in my chest and I was out of breath. I thought I was having a heart attack. The pain in my chest lasted for several hours. Cause of death: shitty orgasm. Put that on my tombstone.

While I’m not a fan of patterns, they’re what I’ve come to expect from most vibrators. Escalations, pulses, and the like. They’re predictable, unlike some toys I know, so it does that right.

Battery life on the Noje W3 is surprisingly good. It advertises a low charge indicator light, but as of yet, I haven’t seen it. It’s still going strong despite multiple testing rounds and leaving it in a sock in a drawer for 45 minutes.

What I have noticed, though, is that the head heats up when it’s been on for a while. I don’t think it’s supposed to do this, but I also don’t think this is dangerous in any way. It’s just warm, not hot, and I think that’s what finally drove me over the edge in my testing sessions.

The critical fail for me, is in the neck of the Noje W3. The neck is just too flexible. It’s also got deep ribbing that catches lube and bodily fluids, and is a real pain to clean out. I need pressure. I just can’t get the pressure I need from the Noje W3 unless I physically mash the head into my clitoris with my fingers. If I’m going to be directly rubbing my clitoris anyway, what is the point of the vibrator? To make my fingers itchy and numb? No, thank you.

I did appreciate the shape of the handle and the location of the button. It reaches around the mons pubis and is easy to hold. The vibrations travel to the handle, but since they’re rumbly and strongest in the head, I didn’t find this overly distracting.

I feel obligated to warn this is not a toy for internal use. While you may be able to insert it vaginally, the collection of fluids on the neck is going to be a pain to clean out. It’s definitely not an anal toy, since it lacks a flange, and will likely land you in the hospital if you try.

Overall

Despite its faults, I think the Noje W3 has its place in the sex toy world. It just isn’t for people like me, who like very strong vibrations and need pressure. If you like gentle vibrations, but hate how gentle toys are always buzzy, this is a rumbly option for you. I could see it as an upgrade to the Vedo Luv. Additionally, the shape of the handle makes it ideal for partnered sex. I was impressed with the quality of vibrations and the battery life. However, if you’re looking for something that can provide more power, pressure, and rumble, the FemmeFunn Ultra Bullet is a better option at this price point.
